Historique :	Il s'agit de l'épitaphe de Michel de Tuboeuf (1587-1682) que Louis XIV nomma évêque de Castres en 1664. Il fit construire le palais épiscopal et fit reconstruire la cathédrale. Inhumé à Paris, son coeur fut transféré, selon son testament, à Castres et scellé dans le mur de l'église des dominicains aujourd'hui disparue.
